The sea was almost bleached by the midday light when this small outrigger crossed in front of me, its blue sail catching just enough wind to pull it steadily across the shallows.
There was something beautifully unhurried about the scene. The boat seemed to occupy very little of the horizon, yet it gave the whole expanse a sense of movement and scale. Orange against turquoise, blue against blue, one person working with the wind while the water opened around him.
I wanted the photograph to keep that spaciousness. The kind of afternoon when distance feels gentle and there is enough sky for the eye to wander.
