The Mapou Collection

Works shaped by forest, root, bark, canopy, shadow, decay, renewal, and ancestral earth.

The Mapou Collection follows the intelligence of the forest. Root, trunk, moss, dark soil, leaf litter, seed, and shade become a language for works that hold memory beneath the surface.

Mapou is preserved in Caribbean Indigenous language memory as a tree and plant name. Within Studio Nadi Sangama, the name honors the forest as ancestor, shelter, and living archive.

Studio Nadi Sangama is where the original hand of the artists remains closest to the work.

It is a space for what has been reclaimed, shaped, marked, photographed, assembled, remembered, and returned. Each piece carries the life of what came before it, and the attention that brought it forward.
