Kairi is a dense whipped body butter made from a deliberately small palette of materials rooted in Trinidad.
The name comes from Kairi, a Lokono word meaning “island” and an ancestral Indigenous name for Trinidad itself. Historically Kairi was the first name for Trinidad among its First Peoples, carrying the simple meaning of the island.
We chose it for a formulation intended to remain close to where it is made.
Cocoa butter, virgin coconut oil, moringa seed oil, and beeswax form the entire composition. These are materials deeply present within the agricultural and making landscape of Trinidad, brought together in a body butter that feels unmistakably of the island without requiring perfume or unnecessary additions.
Kairi is whipped only after the formula begins to set, creating a dense, scoopable texture rather than a light cosmetic frosting. It melts readily beneath the warmth of the skin, leaving behind the richness of cocoa and coconut, the fluidity of moringa, and the quiet protective structure of beeswax.
There is no added fragrance. What remains is simply the natural character of the ingredients themselves.

Composition & Feel
Kairi is intentionally simple.
Cocoa butter forms its foundation, giving the butter its dense body and characteristic richness.
Virgin coconut oil softens the cocoa butter and helps the formula melt readily against warm skin.
Moringa seed oil brings a more fluid, silky quality to the blend, tempering the heavier butters and waxes.
Beeswax provides structure and helps the butter leave a fine protective layer over the skin.
Together, the four materials create a butter that is rich but not airy, whipped but substantial.
The texture is deliberately closer to a dense botanical butter than a conventional whipped cosmetic cream.

Kairi is made and whipped by hand in Studio Nadi Sangama, Trinidad & Tobago.
The four ingredients are melted and brought together in small batches, then allowed to cool until the mixture reaches the point where it can be whipped into its final dense texture.
No water is introduced and no synthetic fragrance, emulsifier, preservative, or texturizing additive is used to force the formula into an artificial consistency.
Its texture comes from the materials themselves and the way they are handled.
How to Use
Scoop a small amount with clean, dry fingers and allow the butter to soften between the hands before massaging it into the body.
Use on dry skin or after bathing while the skin is still slightly damp.
Kairi is concentrated, so begin with less than you think you need and build from there.
It is particularly suited to areas that benefit from a richer butter, including hands, elbows, knees, legs, and feet.
Care & Climate
Kairi is a natural whipped butter, and temperature will influence its texture.
Warm conditions will soften the butter. Cooler conditions will make it firmer. Because it contains no synthetic stabilizers, shifts in temperature may also gently alter the whipped structure over time.
This is a natural response of cocoa butter, coconut oil, moringa oil, and beeswax rather than a change in the product's quality.
Store closed and away from direct sunlight or excessive heat. Use clean, dry hands or a clean cosmetic spatula and avoid introducing water into the jar.
